Remembering Trish Bishop
Trish is remembered at the Ascension as a kind and caring person. She was our SPA (Southwark Pastoral Auxiliary) for many years after she was recommended for training during the time of the Rev. John Watson. Trish was someone people could talk to, capable of deep and attentive listening. She had a wonderful infectious laugh and great energy. During the interregnums (gaps between priests) she helped to keep the church running. She was part of the Dartmouth Community, living in Dartmouth Row and then Mallow Court. She moved away not long after Rev. Anne arrived, and was greatly missed. She is mourned deeply and our hearts go out to her family, especially Jane, her daughter, who has kindly provided the beautiful photo above.
There will be a Celebration of Life service in St Thomas’s Lymington, at 1pm on Friday 29th May, followed by refreshments. People from the Ascension are very welcome to attend (if you are going, it would be helpful if you could let Rev. Anne know and she will pass numbers on, though it's not essential to do this).
